Robert Alan Brookey is Professor of Telecommunications at Ball State University, USA, and has published on political economy and identity politics in new media and virtual environments. His work has appeared in Convergence, Games and Culture and Communication, Culture & Critique.

Brian L. Ott (Ph.D., The Pennsylvania State University) is Professor of Communication Studies and Director of the TTU Press at Texas Tech University. His scholarship concentrates on the materiality of rhetoric and, in particular, on the centrality of communication technologies to rhetoric’s materiality. He is the author of The small screen: How television equips us to live in the information age (Wiley-Blackwell, 2007), as well as a co-editor of It’s not TV: Watching HBO in the post-television era (Routledge, 2008), Places of public memory: The rhetoric of museums and memorials (University of Alabama, 2010), and The Routledge reader in rhetorical criticism (Routledge, 2013).
