Notes on contributor

Gregory Simons is an associated researcher with the Russia programme at UI. He has worked on Russian journalism, crisis management in Russia, Russian public diplomacy, and the role of the Russian Orthodox Church. In 2004 Gregory Simons defended his PhD from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He is a senior researcher at Crismart at the Swedish National Defence College and at the Uppsala Centre for Russian and Eurasian Studies. Gregory Simons also teaches at the Department of Communication Sciences at Turiba Business College in Riga, Latvia. His research interests include peace journalism, public diplomacy, political marketing, and the relationship between information, politics, and armed conflict. He is the author or editor of five books, numerous book chapters and articles. His works have been published in English, Russian and Spanish.
