Abstract
The ethanol extract of the whole plant of Artemisia sphaerocephala yielded a new and a known triterpenoid saponin, which were identified by spectroscopic techniques. The new compound was identified as (3β, 16β, 21β)-16,21,28-trihydroxyolean-12-en-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl(1 → 2)-β-D-glucuronopyranoside.
