This paper deals primarily with a description of techniques for the use of hypnosis in a group therapy setting that is primarily within the framework of an orthodox orientation. Discussed are those aspects of the group therapy process which are particularly significant relative to the use of hypnosis in this process, the types of problems which are particularly facilitated by the use of hypnosis in the group process, and the process gains which are achieved by the use of hypnosis as contrasted with group therapy without the use of hypnosis.
