Women Journalists: what's the difference?

Pages 273-286
Published online: 04 Apr 2011

A continuing study begun in the mid-1990s suggested that women journalists had become so completely assimilated into the journalistic workforce that they need no longer be regarded as a separate group--save for the factor delicately referred to by one authority as "the gendered restraints of reproductive responsibilities". Comparison of the data yielded by the two investigations nearly a decade apart will establish--among much else--what differences, persist between men and women journalists.
