Author biographies

R. Lee Lyman received his PhD from the University of Washington in 1982. He is Professor and Chair of Anthropology at the University of Missouri. His research interests include zooarchaeology, paleoecology, and the application of Darwinian evolution to the archaeological record.

Michael J. O'Brien received his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977. He is Professor of Anthropology and Dean of Arts and Science at the University of Missouri. His research interests include evolutionary theory, particularly applications of evolutionism to the archaeological record.
